Following the enormous hit of Hanu-Man, Teja Sajja comes back to the large screen with Mirai, a fantasy-action-adventure movie that is directed by Karthik Gattamneni. The film was released on 12th September 2025 and generated anticipations among the audience and it opened with good booking in the box office.

Vedha, as he matures, goes on a quest to find out his own history and to rise against the evil regime of Mahabir.
The combination of mythology and emotional narrative is the foundation of the adventure in the movie, as issues of sacrifice, purpose, and destiny are interlaced.
Actings: Good Acting Supports the Story
Teja Sajja impresses as Vedha, especially when the scene is full of emotionality and inner struggle. The confusion of a young man who is finding his destiny with the burden of loss and responsibility can be seen in his description.
Manchu Manoj is a good representation of the threat of Mahabir, even though some of his lines are faint and could have been more articulate. His appearance, though, gives seriousness to the evil chase.
The character of Ambica as played by Shriya Saran adds flavor to the story. She is featured in only a few scenes but is effective in most of them as she experiences critical emotional scenes. Playing the lead role, Ritika Nayak brings the refreshing touch to the film and the combination between her and Teja is to the advantage of the adventure.
The participation of veteran actors such as Jayaram and Jagapathi Babu adds the flavor to the story through their presence on the screen, whereas comic relief of Getup Srinu occasionally eases the heavy accents.
Direction and Storytelling: Few Rough Edges, but Worth It
Director Karthik Gattamneni creates a very interesting first act and establishes the stakes in an excellent way. The fact that the nine books got introduced and that they are associated with Emperor Ashoka introduces a historical twist. Nevertheless, the tempo is slowed down in the middle section and some of the scenes seem redundant.
The movie gains some steam again when the villains increase their hunt and the identity of Vedha is revealed. The most fascinating visual and drama element in the movie is the pre-interval sequence with Sampathi.
The latter half, although it has some slower moments, has an equal balance between emotional narration and action-packed scenes. The battle with the villains in the Siddha Kshetram, in which Vedha faces the army of villains, provides the spectacle. The storyline about Ambica and Mahabir makes the story deeper and gives the emotional resolution a stronger factor.
Gowra Hari’s background score uplifts the film, especially in action sequences and emotional scenes, which gives more pleasure to the audience.
Technical Aspects: What Mirai Shines
One of the strongest sides of the film is its technical aspects. The visual effects, particularly in the action scenes, and mystic scenes make a realistic world. In spite of certain bumps, the images are usually in support of the story.
Action choreography brings so much thrill and excitement that the audiences will be on the edge of their seat. The emotional scenes are backed by well-developed dialogues that speak without being melodramatic.
With that said, some of the comedic scenes feel forced, particularly those which are set in a Hyderabad backdrop, which disrupts the flow of the story.
Where Mirai Falters
Nevertheless, there are weaknesses of Mirai. The comedy scene in which actors Venkatesh Maha and Kishore Tirumala appear as policemen is unnecessary and unsupportive of the intensity of the film.
Moreover, the episodes in which the heroine attempts to make the hero recognize his abilities are expected and common. The Lord Rama angle, potentially giving it a mythological flourish, is underdeveloped.
These aspects, though insignificant, do not allow the film to achieve its potential but do not take away much of the overall experience.
